Potential dangers

In the wake of the “carbon neutrality” environmental goal, thousands of households are looking to achieve self-sufficiency in electricity through photovoltaic power generation, making electricity consumption more environmentally friendly.

The widespread installation of photovoltaic power has also driven a strong demand for energy storage. However, since the application of lithium-ion home energy storage batteries, accidents such as explosions and fires caused by lithium batteries have occurred frequently.

On May 27 this year, CHOICE, the leading consumer advocacy group in Australia, reported that: “So far there have been 15 incidents of property damage linked to LG solar lithium-ion batteries, including one house that was destroyed”. An upgrade and transformation of energy storage batteries is imperative.

Five-level safeguards to enhance the safety of home batteries

Even a minor fault can pose a huge threat to family safety. Therefore, in terms of safety, which is the biggest concern of the market and end users, Green Solutions has made a comprehensive improvement in the home batteries E5 and E10, pioneering the use of auto-fire extinguishing system and radiation cooling technology.

The batteries E5 and E10 utilize optimal cells from the world’s leading battery producer — CATL, with electrode materials using lithium iron phosphate to ensure high safety and performance.

Green Solutions has independently developed a high-performance BMS integrated into home batteries E5 and E10. This BMS uses high-precision sensors and proprietary ECM algorithms, achieving an SOC calculation error of less than 3%. It meticulously monitors the battery pack’s operation, ensuring a safe and reliable power supply.

Moreover, the batteries feature an EV-grade module design. Aerogel insulation pads are used to prevent thermal spread, while laser-welded aluminium casing protects the module’s structure.

Notably, Green Solutions has pioneered a modular Pack fire protection system. The batteries are equipped with an inert gas fire-extinguishing capsule that fills the battery box within 3 seconds, achieving rapid and harmless flame suppression.

In addition, the batteries have a three-level thermal management system, including a built-in silicone smart heating pad, an external fireproof insulation cover, and a patented nano radiation cooling coating. This system effectively prevents overheating risks and makes it the only home battery, apart from Powerwall, capable of operating in an ultra-wide temperature range of -20°C to 55°C.

During the design process of home energy storage batteries, Green Solutions has put a lot of effort into finding laboratories and third-party testing organizations to conduct battery certification and reliability testing to ensure product quality. Currently, home batteries E5 and E10 have obtained the world’s highest-level safety certifications such as CE, IEC, UL, and UKCA.

Green Solutions’ home energy storage products promise 6,000 charge and discharge cycles and a 10-year warranty, hoping to benefit more families with first-class quality.
