Xtra: Can you tell us about EcoFlow’s big launch at Solar & Storage Live?
Craig: The solar industry is seeing a lot of changes in the market at the moment. Some of the biggest changes and challenges for us are guidelines, and regulations from the industry. We’re seeing a lot more restrictions on how products should be performing.
EcoFlow believes that we have a product that, on launch, the single phase is going to be able to meet these challenges and meet these new guidelines.
This [includes] auto heating, fire prevention, all these warranties that are important for end users at the moment.
Xtra: Rumor has it that EcoFlow’s launch is the PowerOcean Single-Phase. Can you tell us a bit about it?
Craig: The EcoFlow PowerOcean Single-Phase is the new product we are launching today at Solar & Storage Live. It has unique functions, [such as] a 15-year warranty for both inverter and battery, which is unique in our market at the moment, and fire suppression built in as standard – which is very important [right now]. It also has IP65 and auto heating.
Xtra: What are the major opportunities for the UK solar market in the next 12 months?
Craig: The major opportunity for manufacturers really is to start moulding the future for energy storage. For the last few years, it’s been really difficult. There’s been lots of different manufacturers offering different solutions.
But, new guidelines coming in place allows manufacturers to bring in real products that are delivering the right kind of technology, the right safety, and the right performance. I think that at EcoFlow we’re ready to meet that [need].
Xtra: Who are you most looking forward to speaking to at Solar & Storage Live London?
Craig: I’m looking forward to speaking to everybody that comes on our stand. Especially the new installers, because infusing installers is something that we do as salespeople. I love speaking to [the installers] and telling them the benefits [of our products], and seeing their faces light up when they see our products.
