PV solution provider LONGi is set to supply PV modules for a Romanian solar project that is currently under construction by ECP contractor Solarpro.
LONGi will provide the project with its HI-MO 7 module – designed for large-scale solar power plans.
The largest in Romania
The solar park is currently the largest of all solar projects in the country – both existing and under construction – and will register at 174MW when complete.
The project Is being built in Oltenia, southwest of Bucharest, which is an area of Bulgaria with great PV power potential – boasting one of the highest irradiation values in the country.
According to developers, the project is well aligned with the Integrated National Energy Climate Plan and the renewable energy targets in place in Romania. Per this, the solar project is expected to reduce the region’s greenhouse gas output by around 95,000 tons per annum.
The solar project is anticipated to go live in mid-2025.
