Teralight, an Israeli energy company, has received approval to commence commercial operations at its 150-MWdc solar photovoltaic (PV) park in the Ta’anach region of the Jezreel Valley.

Named Ta’anach 1, this facility is among the largest in Israel and is expected to produce approximately 310 GWh of electricity annually. Teralight owns 51% of the project, while Migdal Group owns 49%.

The solar park is anticipated to generate annual revenues of around ILS 60m.

Alongside Ta’anach 1, Teralight is progressing with the Ta’anach 2 expansion project, a 104-MW solar plant with a 440 MWh battery storage system. The project is fully owned by Teralight and is scheduled for grid connection in the second half of 2026.

The Ta’anach 1 and Ta’anach 2 projects are expected to account for approximately 5.2% of Israel’s installed renewable energy capacity and contribute 1.2% to the country’s total electricity supply.

Teralight CEO Rani Lifshitz stated that the company is also involved in developing and constructing additional solar and storage projects with a combined capacity of about 400 MW and storage capabilities of 750 MWh.

These projects are set to be commissioned in stages over the next three years.
