ENGIE North America and Meta have finalised an Environmental Attributes Purchase Agreement (EAPA) through which ENGIE will supply 260 MW of renewable energy from its Sypert Branch solar project.

Located near Austin, Texas, the solar facility is close to Meta’s data centre in Temple and will supply all of its output to Meta. This project will contribute to Meta’s extensive renewable energy portfolio, surpassing 12 GW.

The project, expected to be operational by late 2025, will add to ENGIE’s renewable energy portfolio in North America, currently around 8 GW.

This initiative reflects ENGIE’s innovative approach in the renewable sector, supporting its reputation as a leading developer of corporate energy power purchase agreements (PPAs).

Dave Carroll, Senior Vice-President and Chief Renewables Officer at ENGIE North America comments, “We are delighted to announce this agreement to work with Meta by providing renewable power that supports their growth and aligns with their net-zero commitments.”
